
Getting protein at breakfast is important to keep those little humans FULL and FUELED throughout their day of adventures. Sometimes figuring out what protein to serve with breakfast can be hard, but honestly, it’s really very easy (and delicious).
Here are some of our tried and tested favourites that your Itsy Blitz can whip up in minutes…
PEANUT BANANA SMOOTHIE
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Tofu, soft
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter, all-natural
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Half a banana
Blend in the Itsy Blitz and serve for a slurpy (and probably messy, sorry!) but delicious and nutritious breakfast.
EGGY MUFFIN CUPS
- 1 large egg
- A splash of milk
- A pinch of black pepper
- A handful of spinach
- 1 ounce cheddar cheese
Blend all in the Itsy Blitz and pour into a well greased muffin tin (will probably make around two / three muffins) bake at 180 for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
CHIA PUD
- 1/2 an Itsy Blitz bowl of coconut milk
- 1/2 an Itsy Blitz bowl of chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup strawberries
Blend the coconut milk, syrup and strawberries in the Itsy Blitz, then add in the chia seeds. Pop in the fridge over night to set and top with delicious fruits and nut butter!
CHOCOLATE BANANA OAT BARS
- 5 tablespoons of oats
- 5 tablespoons of milk
- 1 small banana
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
- Handful of fruit
Blend your banana and milk in the Itsy Blitz then pour into the oats. Mix until coated and then stir in your cocoa powder and chopped fruit. Once a delicious sticky mixture pour into a small tray and bake for 15 at 180. Serve with yoghurt to dip!
