PREGNANCY SMOOTHIE

Getting all of your nutrients when growing a baby can be a little overwhelming at times, especially when you’re trying to balance work and home, appointments, keeping yourself healthy and everything else that comes with day to day life.

Smoothies are a great way to pack in the nutrients,  but it’s best that you don’t just grab a bottle on the go —you may get far more sugar than you bargained for. The best way to make sure you are getting a healthy kick (that can even help things like nausea) is to create it from your kitchen.

The Supergreen smoothie:

  • 1 small banana
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • As much milk as you wish to make it thick, smooth and to your drink liking

Very Berry Smoothie:

  • ½ frozen banana
  • A handful of frozen berries
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • As much milk as you wish to make it thick, smooth and to your drink liking

Protein Power Smoothie:

  • ½ frozen banana
  • A scoop of your favourite protein powder
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • A handful on spinach
  • As much milk as you wish to make it thick, smooth and to your drink liking

Super Vit C Smoothie:

  • 2 small oranges, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 1 cup full fat yogurt of your choice
  • A handful of ice
  • A dash of honey

Totally Tropical Smoothie:

  • 1 cup of frozen tropical fruit mix
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • A splash of pineapple juice
