Healthy Pepper "Pizza" Bites

These delicious bites are perfect for any time from birthday parties to after school snacks


200g Tomatoes

110g Grated Cheese

1 White Onion

5 Peppers

1 clove Garlic

Star Cookie Cutter


Everyone loves pizza bites as a snack but we know that sometimes the dough can be too filling for your little ones. So here is our Itsy twist on a classic pizza base by using the next best thing… Vegetables !! These snacks are perfect after a long day at school or nursery or you can make them in the morning before a party as an easy and healthy snack…

  1. Preheat the oven to 190C
  2. Cut off the top of a pepper and deseed it
  3. Slice off a third of the pepper and cut out a star shape with the cookie cutter
  4. Half the remaining pepper and cut out another star shape from each half
  5. Repeat with all the peppers until you have 15 stars
  6. Next blend your tomatoes, onion and garlic to make your tomato sauce
  7. Spread a dollop of sauce onto each piece of pepper and top with a sprinkle of grated cheese
  8. Put in the oven for about 20 mins
  9. Allow them to cool and serve to your hungry monsters

You can also use the leftover pepper to make our Shroom Burgers
