
Our super-easy and delicious basil dip is perfect for snacking, pasta, or as a dressing on vegetables
Ingredients
100g Grated Parmesan
70g Soured Cream
70g Pine Nuts
60g Fresh Basil
2 clove Garlic
Juice of 1 Lemon
Olive Oil for Serving
Method
This dip takes just 10 minutes to make and is so versatile you can use it as a dipping sauce, a dressing on vegetables, as a sauce on pasta – the possibilities are endless !! We used the food processor method but you can also finely chop all the ingredients and mix together if you don’t have one, this takes slightly longer but will produce the same delicious results…
- Put the fresh basil and pine nuts into a food processor and mix until the ingredients begin to make a paste
- Add your parmesan, garlic & lemon to the processor and mix for a few seconds until a bright green paste has formed
- Remove the paste from the food processor and add your soured cream
- Mix well and add oil and more lemon (if it needs it)
- You can make our grilled-cheese bites and serve your dip as a dipping sauce
- This creamy sauce also works perfectly with pasta for a lovely lunch-time treat
- You can also spice up a vegetable bake by mixing in some of this dip
